PHOENIX (AP) - The Colorado Rockies had a number of opportunities to take control in the early innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night but couldn't muster the big hit they needed.

``Through the first six innings we stranded six runners,'' Rockies manager Jim Tracy said after his club's 5-1 loss. ``That has been a downfall for us all season.''
